North Hempstead – Call 311
If you happen to be outside of the Town of North Hempstead or using a cell phone when sending in a Noise complaint regarding noise events in the Town Of North Hempstead, then Call 516-869-6311.
Complaints can also be sent to the 311 center via email which may simplify sending complains for multiple flyovers. To use email click on the “email noise event times to TONH” at the top of this page.
Non-North Hempstead residents.
If you don’t live in the Town Of North Hempstead your best bet is to file a complaint with the Port Authority.
To electronically file an Aircraft Noise Complaints for JFK, LGA, EWR, TEB, & SWF Airports Click here . If you are reporting a sequence of flights check “TOO FREQUENT” and enter time of each flight in the COMMENTS block. Each time should be separated from the previous time by a comma and a space.
